Shine International Academy is a modern British International School offering a Project Based Learning environment.

Shine International Academy is based in Mijas and we are seeking a part-time administrative staff member, with potential to grow to full time quickly.

Looking for an energetic professional who doesn’t mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and able to work independently. Well organized, flexible, detailed and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an school of diverse positions.

Position Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Directors directly; weekly staff meetings/ daily email and face to face communication

Providing professional and confidential service to enquiries, current families, and suppliers/vendors, etc.

Receiving new intake forms and directing families to appropriate enrollment procedures. Uploading student information to the database and recording student attendance, fire drills, etc.

Coordinating and scheduling meetings, presentations, and other related events

finance duties including entry utilizing Quickbooks Online and record keeping, with coordination alongside our primary Gestor/accountant

Accounts payable & receivable experience, guaranteeing incoming payments or outstanding invoices are paid on time

General admin email communications to families and staff as appropriate. Making letters, general WordPress website data entry – formatting content, uploading new courses, user account management, downloading reports, and reporting any maintenance/technical issues to our tech professionals

Social Media updating: posting on Shine facebook page weekly and growing our online social media presence.

Position Requirements:

2+ years experience in school or appropriate administration role

Excellent oral and written communication in English and Spanish; efficient typist

Software knowledge requirements in: Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, WordPress, and other office related programs

  • The ability to work with confidentiality in mind, demonstrating tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize, multi-task in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Excellent oral communication and customer service skills to liaise with clients, vendors/suppliers, and other professionals.
